Trade related aspects of intellectual property rights in the EU

The objective of this seminar is to provide an overview of the complex relationship between intellectual property (IP) rights and trade in goods and services at both Community and international level. During this seminar emphasis will first be placed on the TRIPs Agreement. Attention will be drawn to the question of exhaustion of IP rights. And finally, emphasis will be put on the developing relationship between the TRIPs Agreement and the Convention of Biological Diversity.
